Cheerleading Camp Help!?

Hi, I’m a cheerleader for the East West Rockets Senior Level 5 All-Star Team, as well as a varsity cheerleader. I’m a soon-to-be sophomore. I’m supposed to host a cheerleading camp at my school this summer, since I have the most tumbling experience and I’ve been a cheerleader all my life.. Problem is I have no idea what to do. I don’t know what to teach. Most girls on the coming up varsity team have no experience with tumbling, competitions, even simple sideline cheers. I just.. need some guidence. Any tips on what to teach, how to teach it and that kind of stuff? I have to turn in an outline to my principal soon of what matieral I plan to teach. Please help! :)

If they have no experience, I would start out with motions. Teach them how to do all the motions like high V, low V, T, etc. Teach them how you have to stay nice and tight when doing these motions, and then run through some motion drills. After that, you can start teaching some easy cheers utilizing the motions they learned. Teach them to be loud and to smile when cheering. After that, I would move on to teaching jumps. Explain the proper way to do all the jumps and have them practice. I would then move on to dance routines or stunting. After that, maybe teach some tumbling. Hope this helps and good luck!
