Very interesting scenerio developed going into the final day of reg. season involving playoff position in the West. Rockets are at home vs Clippers to finish, Jazz are IN San Antone to play Spurs. Here are the scenerios. Lets first assume Rockets win at home vs Clippers. Finish 55-27. 5th seed no matter what right. Big question is what do Jazz do? If they beat the Spurs they tie the Spurs with a 55-27 record and have the tie breaker making them 3rd seed and Spurs 4th. So the Jazz will play the Suns with home court advantage,(they are the best home team in the leauge), and the Spurs host Rockets. The Spurs win, Jazz play on road vs. Rockets, Spurs host Suns. Who will be trying to win the Spurs -Jazz game? The winner gets the Suns, loser gets the Rockets. Spurs have home court whoever they play, Jazz have home if they get Suns, they play away if Rockets. What do you think will happen, and what do you think these teams would rather do?
Rockets own tie vs Suns. Jazz tie vs Rockets. Hoping the Spurs win so the whole 4 team tie doesnt happen.
PS. I know foolish Laker fans are chiming in with the thumbs down grade. You all know you were ragging on them 7 months ago. You have to be the biggest bandwagon jumpers ever. Lakers will not be in finals, promise you that.
In McGradys defense he has never been on a team seeded 4 or higher and suppose to win their series. Until last year when his team was only a 5 seed but had home court advantage.
Well it looks like the Jazz didnt even make the flight to San Antonio. Oh well, homecourt advantage for Rockets! Actually the Jazz playing on road is more of the advantage than the Rockets playing at home.
Chosen Answer:
The Jazz shouldn’t try to work the system to get a certain team. They are THE wildcard out West. They should hope, though, that they catch the Hornets in the 2nd round. That’s the top-level team they have the best chance of beating to make it to the West Finals. I don’t think anyone wants to play them right now.

if all 4 tie then i goes like this
3 Jazz
4 Suns
5 Rockets
6 Spurs
it is chosen by each team’s record vs. the tied teams. Jazz have the best record among them and Spurs have the worst
yes, it is a very interesting scenario in the west. but spurs will win against utah, they do their best when under pressure.
if the rockets finally pass the 1st round or will have their “first round jinx” again
