West:
Lakers — champs will be champs until someone knock them off.
Nuggets — They will likely have all of their current players back, they are young, athletic, and now playoff experience.
Blazers — Young and experienced now, Roy will continue to get better.
Spurs — I learned to never count those vets out.
Rockets — this team is a serious contender if they are healthy, but it’s been 4 injury-riddled years, that’s a trend not bad luck.
East:
Celtics — when healthy, I still think they are the best in the East, especially since the Cavs weakness were exposed this post season.
Orlando — With Nelson back they will be tougher and they will come back hungrier like the Lakers.
Cavaliers — Z’s health will be a concern and if they don’t get any FAs to solidify their PF position, they will get slaughtered against the likes of Boston and Orlando.
BQ: For people who went to the parade, how was it? It’s a shame they had to host this on a weekday, fuck why can’t they close it out in 7!
BQ2: Is it me or is Nike’s puppets commercial getting really shitty? They need something funny, put Shaq on there with Kobe!

LeBron super stud: I think you got something stuck in your mouth.
I know what you mean Cavs, I would love to see the Wizards beat Cleveland for once.
Chosen Answer:
West-
Lakers- No matter what happens with Ariza, Odom, Walton, they still have Kobe and Gasol, which makes them a contender.
Nuggets- Will keep a similar roster, I just want to see if they can upgrade over Kenyon Martin.
Blazers- Downright dangerous depending (wow say that 5 times fast) on the progression of young studs Roy, Aldridge, Oden, and especially Jerryd Bayless.
Spurs- Ginobilli will be back, and somehow they always acquire a few young guys out of nowhere that contribute.
Clippers- (Yeah the Clippers) A very deep big man rotation if it stays together, Thornton and Gordon getting better, and Baron Davis. These pieces can make the Clippers a serious threat IF they can develop some chemistry.
Rockets- Yao, T-Mac, Artest, Brooks, Scola, great starting 5, guys on the bench besides Landry and Lowry will have to step up though.
East-
Celtics- Still have the big 3, and Rondo is getting better. Just have to focus on resigning Big Baby and possibly adding a veteran center to help Perkins.
Magic- Same team, just as much of a threat. I think Courteney Lee will get ALOT better next year.
Cavaliers- With or without Shaq, any team with Lebron is a contender.
Nets- This team has a lot of talent, and I think they will win 50 games as Lopez gets better and Devin Harris masters the offense.
BQ- I went last year, lol
BQ2- I want the puppets to burn. I like anything with Shaq in it though, dude is funny.

Lakers suck!
West:
Lakers
Blazers
East:
Hawks
Nets
Bulls
Cavs
In the west the rockets cause of their defense and team offense. The nuggets should also fair well but if they dont get a big they wont reach the finals.Lakers will get knocked out…i hope, cant stand the same champions. Cavs are taking the east cause they are going to be the one with the best mental toughness next year like the lakers were this year.
BQ2:I was thinking the same thing

“(not taken injuries into consideration)”
“Rockets — this team is a serious contender if they are healthy, but it’s been 4 injury-riddled years…”
“Celtics — when healthy…”
“Cavaliers — Z’s health will be a concern…”
Of course the Finals four this year are all contenders next year. Nuggets, Lakers, Cleveland, Orlando.
Of course the Celtics are contenders with a healthy KG.
I think you left out Utah. If they keep Boozer and get healthy, they are a very good team.
My surprise team next year is Washington. They have a great roster, don’t understand what their problem is, but with Flip Sounders I think they will make the playoffs.

i predict a show down between the cavs(if lebron is still there) and the lakers(pretty much i’m still waiting on kobe & lebron to face off in the finals 2010 i say!!!!:)
yea your answer sounds good but the five final teams will be
Rockets, Nuggets Cavaliers and Magic, and the Lakers of course
Boston and spurs are getting old and the competition is getting tougher.
Blazers will continue to get better but won’t make the final five teams.
My prediction is that next year it will be Lakers and Cavs in the finals and they will go all out. Of course Kobe is getting older and LeBron is getting closer to his prime but overall the Lakers are will a better team. Cavs need good big men, Big Z is getting old although he is still a sharp shooter. He might be the only center to hit 3s. I suggest the Cavs get Hedo Turk and Chris Bosh in the near future.
Lakers will win
Phil gets 3 – peat all the time
Blazers are too underated and very talented. now thay have some playoff experience so watch for them.
And the Cavs especially if they pick up shaq who is the dominate down low force they need
W
Lakers
Nuggets
Rockets
Blazers
*Utah, NOLA, and the spurs might trade for needed help but I say they get eliminated in the first round. Maybe GSW too.
E
Celtics
Orlando
Cleveland
*Not too much to choose from.
BQ: Great! It was hot and crowded but it was def. great. I had a lot of fun and I enjoyed the free stuff they gave out. It’s always a shock to see how tall they really are and it was really fun seeing them dance and cheer. You know, it was different than the parades before. Shaq used to be the center of attention and the crowd would wait for him to arrive and speak. But this time everything was more balanced.
BQ2: They aren’t funny but having Shaq in mix would be interesting. I doubt he would go for it.
Well, Mine is actually the same as yours, except…
Hornets – CP3 should carry this team.
BQ2: Yeah, except for the Celebration one.
I couldn’t go to the parade cause of school… And I live in Nevada.
All teams making it to the semifinals are all good. But I think Utah and Sacramento may surprise us. I think Martin is going is coming back with authority.
BQ: Didn’t go, don’t live in LA
BQ2:LOL they’re still funny to me!
